DESCRIPTION:As the days grow shorter and we begin our journey toward the colder months\, nature invites us to turn inward\, tend to our foundations\, and prepare the body for the season ahead. For generations\, our ancestors turned to the plants growing around them to learn their medicines\, listen to their wisdom\, and work with them to nourish and support the body through each changing season. \nThis gathering is an invitation to begin remembering that relationship. \nJoin me for an intimate five-hour Introduction to Herbalism & Immune Health\, where we will gather in sacred circle to learn about the plants\, deepen our understanding of the immune system\, and make elderberry medicine together. \nNo previous experience with herbalism is needed. Simply bring your curiosity and a desire to know the plants more deeply. \nOur Time Together\nWe will begin as I love to begin all sacred gatherings — in circle. Over herbal tea and light snacks\, we will settle into the space\, introduce ourselves\, and open our time together with intention before beginning our exploration into herbalism. \nWe will then gather in the kitchen and prepare our elderberries\, herbs\, and spices\, learning about the medicine within each plant as we begin our elderberry decoction. \nWhile our medicine slowly simmers\, we will return to circle and spend time exploring: \n\nThe foundations of herbalism and what it means to work in relationship with the plants\nUnderstanding our immune system and the wisdom of the body’s natural defenses\nHerbs traditionally used to nourish and support immune and respiratory health\nDifferent ways plants can be prepared as medicine — tea infusions and decoctions\, tinctures and syrups\nHow we can begin creating a simple seasonal herbal apothecary at home\nWays to work with herbal medicine thoughtfully\, safely\, and intuitively\n\nYou will receive an Immune-Support Herbal Guide to take home so that the plants and teachings we explore together can continue to become part of your own herbal journey. \nCreating Our Elderberry Medicine\nAfter allowing our elderberries and herbs to slowly simmer and release their medicine\, we will gather once again in the kitchen for the final part of our day. As summer begins its gentle turn toward autumn\, we gather in gratitude for the Earth\, for the work of our hands and hearts\, and for the abundance already present. This is a time to rest\, reflect\, and listen for what is ready to be gathered\, shared\, preserved\, or lovingly released. \nTogether\, we will celebrate through seasonal harvest foods\, an intuitively crafted tea blend\, a simple make-and-take Seed & Harvest Bundle\, and a fire ceremony. We will honor what has come to fruition\, sit tenderly with what may not have unfolded as hoped\, and choose the seeds\, wisdom\, and intentions we wish to carry forward. DESCRIPTION:Join me for a Summer Solstice Celebration to pause and honor all your hard work over the past 6 months. We will soak in all the abundance\, love and the beautiful light the sun has to offer as it pours into every aspect of your being. Relish in this light and allow the sun to fill you with its vitality and power throughout the summer months. We will feast on summer harvests of fruits and veggies\, create a despacho offering for Pachamama to connect to our Great Mother and the Stars\, gather around the fire and enjoy the company of one another. \nA despacho is an Andean ceremony where we build a prayer bundle of offerings to Pachamama\, a gift as an energetic exchange for healing and re-establishing divine harmony and protection. This living embodiment of our landscape of life that meets at the level of soul and connects to all creation. Traditionally\, we perform this ceremony on each earth cycle to renew and re-imprint the powers of nature for our luminous body to bring in the light. Each item of offering represents a prayer/gift of power that sparks momentum for energy shifts and profound healing.
