The Winter Solstice is one of the most revered days of the entire year held sacred for many cultures. This day in the Northern Hemisphere is where we the least amount of daylight, the longest hours of darkeness as we enter into our winter’s rest. As we align with the cycles of the Earth we welcome this time of rest, reflection and deep soul nurturing from this chaotic year. Join me in an intimate gathering as we honor this sacred time to pause and co-create a despacho together to offer Pachamama our reflections of the year, sit by the fire and receive a transmission of bringing in the light. There will be a time of sharing as well as snacks and warm drinks provided.

A despacho is an Andean cermony where we build a prayer bundle of offerings to Pachamama, a gift as an energetic exchange for healing and re-establishing divine harmony and protection. This living embodiment of our landscape of life that meets at the level of soul and connects to all creation. Traditionally, we perform this ceremony on each earth cycle to renew and re-imprint the powers of nature for our luminous body to bring in the light. Each item of offering represents a prayer/gift of power that sparks momentum for energy shifts and profound healing. In this we honor Pachamama, our ancestors, our reflections of the year and give it to the fire to transmute what we are letting go/what we wish to bring in for ourselves and the collective.
